A Beautiful Friday Morning ~ and here I sit at work. :(

Posted by sleepycathollow on 16 May 2008

What a bummer….

While walking up to my building I noticed the rising sun hitting the leaves on the tree…stopped to take a couple of pictures. Almost went back to drop off my tote in the trunk of the car and then go for a walk and take pictures. Big sigh.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Lots of yard sales, plant sales and bbq’ing in my near future.

OH YES! Lookie! RADISHES! The very first peeps out of my garden that I planted 10 May 2008 Saturday evening.

And a shot of the irises blooming out front ~

Whole leaves in 6 days is pretty incredible!! Pretty soon you won’t be able to see your wood blocks at all.

That baby needs clothes. Away with the radishes and out with the knitting needles! Poor little soul is turning purply-blue.

Oooh, I think he has wet himself too. Looks like that might be a puddle emerging… !! ;)

Love your pics! I try to keep my camera with me to get some good shots.

What kind of veggies did you plant?

    Kiwi! Behave yourself! :-)

Sharon, I have a list somewhere on one of the posts, but here goes: corn, PUMPKINS, Mexican grey squash, Black zucs, Yellow crooknecks, radishes, cucumbers, bush beans, black beans, sugar snap peas, red & green romaine, spinach, carrots, green onions, salsa hot pepper mix, New Mexican green chilis, four different tomatoes, three types of basil (cinnamon, lime & regular), clary sage, rhubarb, ummmmm…two other herbs that escape me at the moment.

Wish I could grow even half that. We have some kind of fungus/bug that keeps getting our veggie plants to the point that I don’t even plant them anymore :(
