After church yesterday we decided to head over to Ferrari Farms ~ a local pumpkin patch and corn maze in Reno, Nevada. I grew my own pumpkins this year, but we still like to wander around and take a peeksee at what’s going on. We’ll be heading back Friday night for an evening out in the corn maze…which, by the way, is $5/person…they may have a family discount, I’m not sure though. There are hay-rides and farm animals too. Lots of fun and very local. You can find them on Mill Street near the corner of Rock…just head east on Mill. They are open 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 9:30 to 6 p.m. on Sundays through the 31st of October.
I’ve LOTS of pictures…

I love the wheelbarrows and that goat with his eyes closed is adorable. He looks like he’s enjoying the sun.
Oh I just loves the look of Autumn. Great shots!

LOVE the photos! I would love to grow pumpkins, but I think it takes quite a space to do that, doesn’t it? I live in a garden home and primarily garden on my east side. I’ve got to start growing gourds and things to decorate with.

Thank you Brenda (I love your quilts!)
Nope…while the vines DO take over, you don’t need a huge amount of land to grow pumpkins.
I had two pumpkin plants in the front yard that grew around my Weeping Cherry tree and two Russian Sages…they produced six good size pumpkins.
The four plants in the back yard that had a 3×12 plot didn’t fare as well as the ones up front…even though they had a lot of room to grow.
I LOVE that shot of the patch with the tractor and mountains in the background! And that little piglet… too cute.
One of my favorite things about Fall is visiting farms and pumpkin patches. Your pictures are great! I loved theold tub full of pumpkins, how cute!
